my 2 yr old betta has become fat, really fat, looks stretched with scales showing but still flat, he makes bubble nests all the time, is he roe bound needing to mate or is a round stomach OK. Feed twice daily 4/5 pellets kyorin brand, partial water changes couple of times/week and vacuum bottom, 2 litre container conical shape narrow at bottom wide at top with water level at max diameter, summers in garden fountain/pond

If you can send me a picture. Cause it sounds like your over feeding your fish. Your bettas stomach is roughly the size of its eye so two pellets a day should be enough. I advice you to turn your heater up a bit so that its digestive system works a little better. Also having it flare for a few minutes sometimes helps digest fast

I have a 26 gallon tank with glofish and the florescent tetras. Can I put a beta in that tank or does it need to be in a separate tank ?

Its own tank. I’d move the tetras as well. You should keep goldfish only with other goldfish

hey, I'm getting a 2.5 gallon tank for my Betta and I need a good heater. my options are Zoo Med's Bettatherm, Aqueon's 10w Mini, Marina's C10 submersible, or Top Fin's 7.5w. which is my best bet?

Not sure since I’ve only used aqueon’s heaters. Best thing to do is look up reviews on youtube telling you the pros and cons

I have a 5 gallon tank and I am interested in putting my betta in there with a couple of tankmates (3 tetras) you suggested in one of your YouTube videos. Would a 5 gallon tank be to small and make the betta fight with the other fish?

It should be fine just make sure to add some plants or ornaments to help the fish hide from the betta if they need to

Hi, Just wondering if you have seen any 50 gallon community tanks with frogs? I have lots of room to work with, but I am unsure what breeds of frogs would be best. Thanks - Ryan

I would suggest to check out Dustinsfishtanks on youtube. His aquarium channel is all about having live plants with dirt underneath your substrate. You should check it out

You can get a plant called Anubias. It attaches itself to driftwood and rocks after a certain time.
